Welcome to the Florence Township Bureau of Fire Prevention web page. We are responsible for enforcing the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code within Florence Township in all buildings except 1 and 2 family owner occupied dwellings.

Additionally, we provide various forms of fire safety education to the community by attending various public events and visiting the schools. We also provide a smoke detector program to Township residents who qualify which includes battery operated smoke detectors and battery changes. We will also conduct home safety inspections upon request to identify potential safety problems within your home

Finally, we provided fire extinguisher training to businesses and civic groups located within Florence Township.
